Mental Health

Mental Illness is a broad term given to people who suffer from psychological problems that include neurotic disorders such as depression, anxiety, phobias, addiction and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Most people who experience Mental illness have short term, acute episodes and are able to return to living a 'normal life'. However, some people suffer from long term enduring or chronic Mental illness which can affect their ongoing functioning, behavior, social and life skills and general independence.

tracscare has over 30 homes dedicated to meeting the needs of clients with a Mental Health disorder, across England and Wales. Clients have their own personalized rooms, tailored to each client’s needs in Homes which are spacious, modern and in central locations. All rooms are designed to benefit each individual.

The standard of care at tracscare is very high, delivered by a team of dedicated staff. Our care includes an experienced team of staff, qualified or working towards NVQ level qualifications, a high staffing ratio in each home and a professional service with the client’s needs, wishes and aspirations at the forefront of the care provided. Staff training is specific to each home, with the emphasis on an understanding of Mental Health conditions. The quality of the tracscare training is highlighted by our Investors in People status.

Our homes have access to a wide range of clinical services, including mental health qualified nurses to provide advice and support during crisis and accute situations.  Theraputic interventions as approved by the clinical team are developed on an individual basis.

Each client is given a Life Impact Assessment in order to plan and support a reduction of Mental Health on their daily life. Each client is given a client specific care package to support the client to live with their Mental Health problem through support and mentoring. tracscare understands the complex needs of individuals with Mental Health issues, and work in partnership with CMHT to integrate clients back into their local community.
