Victoria Court offers supported accommodation in the Canton area of Cardiff. Canton is one of the oldest parts of the city with beautiful old building and all facilities within walking distance .The house is situated on the main roads to the city link bus route and walking distance from the city center.

Accommodation

Victoria Court is a large home with 4 bedrooms, personalized to the clients’ tastes, a large communal area, kitchen and living room.  The home has a well-maintained patio/ garden area with patio furniture to enjoy the outdoors. The location of the home allows easy access to all local public, community, and leisure and education facilities.

Client Group

Victoria Court offers residential care for four adults between the ages of 18 and 65, with mental health needs and/or a learning difficulty.

Activities

The Home is close to few nice parks for bird watching and walking areas, churches, shops, restaurants, pubs, bank, post office, library, local amenities, football stadium, and theatres. The Cardiff castle and new millennium stadium are walking distance from the home. The home is close to the Cardiff bay and driving distance from Barry Island, a popular holiday resort.

Staff

At Victoria Court there is an average of 3 Staff on duty during the day, and at least a sleep-in staff at night.  Staff receives extensive internal training, supplemented by relevant external courses to ensure a high level of client care.  Such training includes manual Handling, Health and Safety and Fire Safety. Staffs are trained and have NVQ4/2 qualification and some are working towards their NVQ level 3.

Clinical

Based on individual needs, clients have access to a large professional team, which includes Clinical Support Nurses, speech therapist, clinical psychiatrist and behavioral therapist.  Victoria Court is registered for 4 adults with Learning Difficulty and/or Mental Health Disorder by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW).
