Accommodation
Bakelyn lodge is a cozy and intimate Home, with a lounge complete with patio doors looking out onto a patio and garden, a dining room, utility room, downstairs toilet, kitchen and hallway. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms all with en-suite shower and toilet facilities and a separate communal bathroom.
Local Activities
Just a 5 minute walk of Bakelyn Lodge is the town centre of Morriston, which offers a wide variety of high street stores including Boots, Woolworths and New Look. Within a ten minute drive or twenty minute walk is Llansamlet Enterprise Park, offering a wide range of large retail stores. There are also a wide range of well recommended restaurants.
Client Group
Bakelyn lodge is suitable for 2 adults aged between 18 and 65 with mental health problems. We will meet the needs of the clients referred to us and will offer support as directed by the referring agencies.
Staffing
The staff team at Bakelyn lodge will comprise of the number of staff required by each client’s care plan. Staff will be one to one with each resident. Staff will be trained to an NVQ level appropriate to their grade. All staff will also incur basic training throughout their employment in areas such as; first aid, basic food hygiene, Studio 3, epilepsy awareness, communication, fire procedures, medication awareness, manual handling, mental health and POVA, and any other courses identified as training needs.
