Ash View is a detached bungalow in an urban setting located approximately 2 miles from the centre of Northampton in the village of Duston. Ash View is set in about a half-acre plot, which is laid back off the road. It has both a large front garden and a large rear garden typical of all our homes. The home is on a regular bus route to Northampton with a bus stop situated opposite the house.
Ash View has three single bedrooms, a lounge, dining room and kitchen. One of the rooms is currently having an en-suite bathroom installed and a conservatory is being added. The House offers a warm friendly environment.
Ash View can accommodate three adults between the ages of 18 and 65 with learning disabilities and associated mental health needs, in a home within a community setting.
In Dunston there are a small number of shops, pubs, post office and various places of worship. The home also benefits from being within walking distance of the Sixfields Leisure Complex, with its cinemas and sports facilities.
At Ash View, all staff receive extensive internal training supplemented by relevant external courses. Staff receive in-depth training and on-going support on low arousal techniques, which are the core of tracscare care philosophy. Training is outlined in more detail on the Staff Page.
The philosophy of Ash View is to support and enable our clients towards independent living skills. The home's care policy is outlined fully within tracscare Care Policy.
Based on individual needs, clients have access to a large professional team, which includes tracscare Clinical Support Nurses, speech therapist, clinical psychiatrist, reflexologist and behavioural therapist. The home is registered with C.S.C.I. and comes under the category 'Mental Handicap/Mental Disorder' and can accommodate adults with associated Mental Health needs and behaviours that may challenge the services provided.
