Location

Ty Gobaith is located in the small friendly community of Llwynypia, within the picturesque Rhondda Valleys, close to the Bwlch mountain ranges. Despite its quiet location, the home still benefits from good transport links to neighbouring town Pontypridd, and also the local pubs, shops and restaurants.

Accommodation

Ty Gobaith is a large detached house, comprising of 3 floors with 6 full en-suite bedrooms. A well equipped kitchen, large dinning room make up the lower ground floor, while an impressive lounge, meeting room and smoking room make the ground floor along with 2 of the 6 full en-suite bedrooms. The first floor comprises of 4 other bedrooms as well as a communal bathroom.

Client Group

Ty Gobaith is suitable for 6 adults between the ages of 18 and 65, with varied mental health needs such as anxiety disorder, depression and post-acute psychosis.

Activities

In-house activities include music/art therapy, gardening and independent life skills. Near to Ty Gobaith are colleges, drop-in centres, cinemas and leisure centres. Clients are encouraged to lead fulfilled lives and to partake in activities of their choice. Activities will be identified through individual client activity programmes on a weekly basis in line with their care plan.

Staff

There is an average of four staff on duty during the day and 1 wake night staff during the night time hours. Staff ratios maybe higher than this dependent on individual client needs. All staff receive a Mental Health induction course prior to commencing employment specific to Ty Gobaith. There are ranges of experienced staff with qualifications varying from N.V.Q's 2, 3 & 4, plus holding or working towards Studio ??? and First Aid at work.

Clinical

tracscare employs qualified Clinical Support Nurses to share up to date knowledge and research with the care staff teams and where required tracscare arranges input from Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologists. Ty Gobaith is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales for 6 adults with Mental Health needs.
