tracscare - The Grove

Location

The Grove is situated in a mature leafy suburb of Kidderminster, which is a conservation area. The Home is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre and within an easy drive to the M5 motorway and 'A' roads into Birmingham.

Accommodation

The Grove is an attractive Grade II Listed building, with spacious living areas, set in a beautiful secluded garden. There are six bedrooms all located on the ground floor. The Grove has a communal lounge, spacious dining area, conservatory and kitchen. Beechfield, a sister Home occupies the first floor. The home is close to all amenities, GP surgery, dentist, post office and is also on the local bus route into Town or to other local conurbations.

Client Group

The Grove offers support for adults with multi diagnosis, primarily acquired brain injury with some associated mobility impairment

Staff

All the Grove staff receive extensive internal training supplemented by relevant external courses. Staff receive in-depth training and on-going support on low arousal techniques, which are at the core of tracscare care philosophy. Training is outlined in more detail on the Staff Page. Staff at the Grove have a range of professional qualifications and also undergo courses in counselling, clinical training, diploma in management studies and NVQ 4 in care.

Clinical Input

Each client at the Grove has an individual care plan, which is regularly monitored and updated. Clients have regular access to tracscare Clinical Support Nurse. plus specialist input in the areas of psychiatry, psychology, speech therapy, drama therapy on an individual needs basis. The Grove is registered along with Beechfield for 12 adults with Learning Disabilities/ Physical disabilities/ Mental disorder by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
