![]() tracscare - RosewoodLocationRosewood is situated in Cwmllyfell, in an attractive, rural part of South Wales, This small village sits at the foot of the Black Mountains yet is only 25 minutes drive from Swansea. The house is located in a quiet residential side road, close to local shops and has a large paddock to the rear of the property. AccommodationRosewood has 4 single bedrooms, 2 located on the ground floor and 2 on the first, all with full ensuite facilities. There is an L shaped lounge/dining room, garden room, kitchen and other communal areas. Outside there is a spacious garden with patio area and open views across the paddock. Rosewood has its own client transport. Similar to Rose Cottage, if required, the Home offers scope for two bedrooms to provide a self contained unit with a bedroom, lounge and bathroom, in order to meet complex and intensive support needs. Client GroupRosewood is dedicated to supporting adults with Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. This includes the challenging needs associated with the Autistic Spectrum. ActivitiesRosewood clients are able to access community facilities such as swimming pools, horse riding, or trampolines, dependent upon individual care plans and choice. StaffOn average, 4 staff provide support to clients at Rosewood during the day, although this is dependent upon client needs. All staff receive extensive internal training supplemented by relevant external courses. Rosewood staff receive in-depth training and on-going support on low arousal techniques, which are at the core of tracscare care philosophy. Training is outlined in more detail on the Staff Page. Rosewood's training is specifically geared towards an understanding of the Autistic Spectrum Disorder client's needs. The staff team at Rosewood is committed to working towards the National Autistic Society Accreditation. ClinicalAll clients are registered with a local GP. Clients have access to tracscare Clinical Support Nurse plus consultant input in the areas of psychiatry, psychology, behaviour therapy, speech therapy, drama therapy on an individual needs basis. A CPN visits the home and clients can also access a Diabetic Clinic at the local GP's Surgery. Rosewood is registered as a dedicated Autism Unit by the Care Standards Inspectorate Wales.
