Orchard Hill is a detached four bedroom house in Little Billing located on the outskirts of Northampton and offers an excellent community location. Orchard Hill benefits from regular transport links to Northampton Town Centre and suburbs. The home is located within walking distance of the popular Weston Favell Shopping Centre, Leisure centre with gym and swimming pool, Post Office, Health Centre and the well known pleasure park, Billing Aquadrome.

Accommodation

Orchard Hill has single bedrooms, with a large through lounge/dining area and a kitchen. There is a large pleasant garden with apple trees and client allotments. There is also a large patio area and space for barbeques.

Client Group

Orchard Hill can accommodate four adults between the ages of 18 and 65 with learning disabilities and associated mental health needs. The home currently offers care to both service users who may have difficult to manage behaviours.

Activities

In the local area there are a small number of small shops, a pub, post office and various places of worship. The home also benefits from being within a short distance to the town centre, leisure facilities, colleges, day care centres. The home also has favourable links with the vocational centre for people with disabilities, Workbridge.

Staff

At Orchard Hill , all staff receive extensive internal training supplemented by relevant external courses. Staff receive in-depth training and on-going support on low arousal techniques, which are the core of tracscare care philosophy. Care

The philosophy of Orchard Hill is to support and enable our clients towards independent living skills. The home's care policy is outlined fully within tracscare Care Policy.

Clinical

Based on individual needs, clients have access to a larger professional team, which may include tracscare Clinical Support Nurses, speech therapist, clinical psychiatrist, reflexologist and behavioural therapist. The home also has strong links to the Community support Teams that offer advice and support as required. The home is registered with C.S.C.I. and comes under the category 'Mental Handicap/Mental Disorder' and can accommodate adults with Learning Disabilities and associated Mental Health needs and people who have challenging behaviours.
